Synopsis
In a quick-fix society, where illusion rules our lives,
one middle-aged
woman and former champion athlete cuts to the core of the age-old questions
"Why am I here? What is the meaning of life?" Using the body and how we
feel about it as a metaphor for self-worth, Diane Israel takes us on
a race
through her childhood and into the recesses of our hearts to unearth
what is
beautiful and worth living for. She uses her unique perspective as a
former
champion athlete whose body and mind spiraled out of control to unravel her
story while taking us on a quest, through interviews with the young
and old,
with divergent backgrounds, to show us the essence of our pain and
the road
to our enlightened state.
